The costal region of the Málaga province stretches over 150 kilometres and is called the Costa del Sol. It is a very popular tourist destination because of its mild climate. The region has a lot to offer in terms of sightseeing. The Botanical-historical garden "LA CONCEPCIÓN” belongs to the Botanical Patronage Municipal "City of Málaga" was created in 1850s by the Marquees de Casa Loring. It is a beautiful collection of tropical and subtropical flora outdoors. The lodged vegetal species in the property come from America, Asia, Africa and the Australian Continent and the floral arrangements are truly artistic. In the typical Arabic fortresses construction style, the Malaguenian fortress of Bobastro was built on the hillside of the Gibralfaro Mountain (Yabal-Faruk meaning, mountain of the lighthouse) from where it is possible to watch the African coast. The remains of the Roman Theatre are at the foothill of the Alcazaba, it is supposed to be a construction of the Augustus epoch remodelled during the Flavios mandate. Part of its stones where used by the Arabs for the construction of the Alcazaba. You may visit these historically important monuments all through the year.

The birth place of Picasso and the Picasso foundation in Málaga are two other places which must be on any tourists list. Among the many services and activities now organised by the Foundation are exhibitions, lectures on Picasso, exhibitions of reproductions of his works, grants to art students, a museum, a specialised library, a projection room, a reading room, an exhibition hall, and a laboratory. The Foundation exhibits books, leaflets, press cuttings, international art magazines, colour slides, recordings, videos, posters and photographs all relating to the artist. The cave of Nerja, declared a Historic-Artistic Monument, has a total length of 4,273 m of which only a third can be visited by the public. But the marble formations inside the cave will leave you awestruck at the power of Mother Nature. Stalactites and stalagmites create a landscape that seems to be straight out of a fairy tale. The central attraction is the 32 m-tall Hall of the Cataclysm. It has been calculated that this space was fashioned by the fall of 1,000 billion drops of water. In Marbella, The Cave of The Basin which is a genuine treasure trove of cave paintings dating back to the Palaeolithic and Neolithic Ages offers a fantastic journey in time. Malaga has some old and beautiful churches like; Church of Christ of The Salud, Church Of Sagrario, Church Of San Felipe Neri, Church Of San Juan, Church Of Santiago and Church Of The Martyrs, be sure to visit some of them for a truly religious experience.
